Urge Congress to Ban IDs for Illegals

I urge you to introduce a binding bill that will deny federal funds for any state that issues state IDs or driver's licenses. We need to do this to prevent the attempts by the democrats to steal the election in 2008, which is why Spitzer tried to issue DLs to illegals in NY.Please introduce legislation to

1.) ban states from issuing driver's licenses or state ID cards to illegal immigrants and
2.) require valid photo ID (driver's license, military ID, state ID) to vote in 2008.

Ellison wants to ban photo ID as requirement for voting

WASHINGTON (Map, News) - Requiring photo IDs to vote in federal elections would be banned under legislation introduced Wednesday by Rep. Keith Ellison, who said such requirements disenfranchise minorities, the poor, women, elderly and young people.

"While photo IDs seem harmless, they are in fact the modern day poll tax," Ellison, D-Minn., said in a statement.
Ellison, who serves on the Judiciary Committee, got an important backer for the bill, as the panel's chairman, Michigan Democrat John Conyers, signed on a co-sponsor.
